Welcome to the Finance Department

First of all, I am grateful and thankful for the opportunity to come back to Midfield City Schools as the Chief School Financial Officer. The experience so far has been very rewarding. I look forward to working with the entire Midfield Staff.  After serving as the Local School Accountant for almost three years here and serving as the Chief School Financial Officer for the Greene County Board of Education for two and a half years, it was a compete joy to start the year off at Midfield City Schools.

It has been refreshing to see all the exciting happenings going on at our schools. The excitement and enthusiasm about strong academics for our students is amazing to experience.  The excitement about our sports and other extra-curricular activities is something I have been a part when I was here in local school accounting. It was with great exuberance that I watched the Boys’ Basketball Team at Midfield High School win another Championship. Yes, Midfield, “Where Champions Are Made”. Champions in academics and sports.

In the spirit of being Champions, one of the goals of the Finance Department is to provide the best and efficient financial management services for the Superintendent and the Midfield City Board of Education.  Financial management includes policy planning and coordination for the most effective and efficient allocation of all funding sources available to the Board.  Midfield City Board of Education operates all financial transactions within the parameters of the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year of October 1 through September 30.  Sometimes we have to make tough spending decisions. The decisions made on spending are made based on the best use of available resources to best serve the needs of the students within the system. We need your support and understanding when these tough decisions are made.
